The American Dream
Synopsis
Based on remarkable true events, The American Dream follows two basketball aficionados who come upon a crazy plan: to discover and represent talented French players and ensure their ascendance to the NBA. But Jérémy works in a video store and Bouna is a cleaner at an airport. Without money or connections or even competent English, the pair resolutely set about their ambition. But even as they discover brilliant young players, often from disadvantaged communities, they come to understand that to succeed they have to face the brutal and unsentimental world of professional sport. A feel-good comedy about friendship, ambition and courage, The American Dream is as charming as its winning protagonists.
